Hello and welcome to all:

I have always had a passion for animals. Growing up on a farm I was exposed to many different animals and always had an intense curiosity about them. My earliest memories of pet birds are that of my grandmother Betty's pet budgie. I was very young when she had it and in the boredom of being at your grandparents place, I was mesmerized by it. To think that there is something so magical as a bird. With their quick movements and almost otherworldly ability to hear and see anything that comes into their vicinity. I was hooked at that time.

By age 22 I had quite a collection of birds and was avidly learning their habits and reading everything I could about them. This was the late 80's so there were a lot more wild birds and people where still trying to figure out how to properly feed, house and breed a lot of them. I also studied and received a diploma in Animal Sciences and entertained pursuing my education.

Everything was going well and then kids happened and everyone knows how fun that can be. My kids being the joys of my life they deserved all of my attention. So, during the early 90's I sold off my flock and reverted to dad and spent evenings and weekends at basketball games. Birds went to the way side as my family grew and aged and a bit of me went with them.

Now at age 40 with one kid in university and 3 others in differing stages of preteen heaven, and a wife that spoils me and lets me do anything I wish (I know there are a few jealous men out there), I have decided to dive back into my passion with both feet. I have just finished the first stage of my Aviary and am working on selecting birds that I would like to work with.

I am trying to get pictures of all my current birds and will keep the OUR BIRDS page updated as much as possible. I will also make sure the BIRDS FOR SALE page is updated with my current babies and older birds that I am selling.

The rest of the web site is a work in progres and I will try to add more as I deem it necessary and as I have time.

If you have any questions or comments or would just like to talk about my passion, please do not hesitate in contacting me.
